Major fundraising campaign at Spitzingsee
As part of his birthday celebration, Wolfgang Schuck called on his guests to donate to FFBT e.V.. The birthday boy could not have made the two chairmen of FFBT e.V. - Prof. Dr. Kai Uwe Chow and Ingo Söhngen - any happier. In the end, the generous guests collected the incredible sum of €38,876.00. The Frankfurter Förderverein FFBT e.V. would like to thank Wolfgang Schuck and, of course, every single guest for their generosity and social commitment.
Appeal for donations to the guests at your own birthday party
Hartmut Retzlaff, who was celebrating his birthday, replied to his guests' traditional question about what he would like for his birthday by saying that the best way to make him happy would be to “support the Frankfurter Förderverein zur Bekämpfung von Tumorerkrankungen e.V. with a donation”.
Wished for, done! All of his guests responded to his appeal and in the end a whopping €15,090 was raised. The chairmen of FFBT e.V., Prof. Dr. Kai Uwe Chow and Ingo Söhngen, were overwhelmed by so much generosity and emphasized the selflessness and helpfulness of Hartmut Retzlaff, but of course also of all the birthday guests who donated, in their speech of thanks.
Birthday guests donate to children's palliative care team
Mrs. Gerda Bröder took her birthday party as an opportunity to collect donations for the children's palliative care center. A noble and selfless gesture - in the opinion of the Friends of the Children's Palliative Care Center - and we would like to thank her warmly. The children's palliative care team is delighted with the urgently needed donation of €2,410.
Parents collect €1,500 for a good cause
Collecting for a good cause. This has almost become a tradition at Strothoff International School. 1,500 was collected at the international school's first summer party, which took place at the end of May, and 50 percent of the money has now been donated to the “Frankfurter Förderverein zur Bekämpfung von Tumorerkrankungen e.V.” and 50 percent to the children's project “Die Arche e.V.”. The cheques were accepted on behalf of Die Arche by facility manager Daniel Schröder and on behalf of the Förderverein (FFBT) by board member Prof. Dr. med. Kai Uwe Chow from the hands of parent representative Ulrike Wirth.
Doing good instead of giving gifts
Using their own birthday as an opportunity to encourage all guests to make a joint donation to a good cause. That was the aim, combined with the hope that many others would follow suit at private events. In the end, €1,500 was raised for the Frankfurter Förderverein zur Bekämpfung von Tumorerkrankungen e.V.. Board member Prof. Dr. med. Kai Uwe Chow accepted the cheque from the hands of “birthday boy” Michael Franken.
